On my savage on the front side of the battery box i put on a marine cigarette lighter connected directly to the battery.No I dont smoke .This is a handy take off for an emergency light, heated vest etc. But I mainly use to charge my battery up as the battery is getting old and i dont use it all that often so i have connected a cigarette lighter plug to my charger and I plug it in if the battery starts running down.
